"I felt that I needed to write you regarding your book. I ordered it the day it went on sale, got it 2 days later, started it the next morning and finished it before I fell asleep the same night. I do a lot of reading but rarely do I read one cover to cover the same day I get it. Iﾒve not dealt with Hepatitis C but a different type of enemy. "I just wanted to let you know how truly touched I have been by reading your story. As a nurse, I was interested in hearing a patients' side of the treatment. I took the book with me to my daughters orthodontic appointment on Monday afternoon. I didn't expect to spend the entire hour in the orthodontists office, and I didn't expect to have read more than half the book while I was there. I received my copy of "Silent Storm" last week & couldn't put it down. That is such a compelling story of what you went through! I pray that God has healed you FOREVER - but He has been able to use you in a mighty way. It seems like so many people have a story about how cancer, hepatitis or some other deadly desease has affected their lives & those of their families. I don't know how anyone could get through these situations without God! I never understood why God chose to take my father or aunt through such a tough battle with cancer, but THEY did! And they taught all of us so much through their courage and faith. I've always loved that saying "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger"... You and your wife must be very strong people! I have visited your church with my stepdaughter often and I know that your church family stood by you and prayed for you every day.
